My Name Is Not Earl but I Have a List Too

Recently Sakula started burrowing some DVDs from the Cambridge Main Library which is just steps away from our place. It is free and a very good resource especially to a poor student like me. Through an on-line catalog named "Minuteman", we can search and burrow any collection from all Massachusetts public libraries, and the pick it up at the nearest library.

Sakula asked me what movies I would like to see. In order to get some ideas, I checked the list of IMDb top 250 movies. I found that I have already seen many of them and labeled those movies in red. Now it is like the stuff in the TV show "My Name Is Earl" in which Earl also got a list to complete. However, it is much enjoyable crossing my listed items out than his!

weighted rating (WR) = (v ÷ (v+m)) × R + (m ÷ (v+m)) × C where: R = average for the movie (mean) = (Rating) v = number of votes for the movie = (votes) m = minimum votes required to be listed in the Top 250 (currently 1300) C = the mean vote across the whole report (currently 6.7)
for the Top 250, only votes from regular voters are considered.
