不小心又假哭

凡凡自己玩著最近特喜歡的 Thomas & Friends 小火車，跑來跑去之後不知看到了桌上的甚麼東西，自忖以他現在的小個兒搆不著，便想轉身央著人幫他拿。結果只顧著回頭抓手，沒注意到一回頭與桌子撞個正著，以一種喜劇片裡慣用的方式倒地‧‧‧

這還沒完，倒在地上後爬起來馬上哭了起來，不過大風大浪見多馬上就知道這不過是又一次的假哭而已，眼看沒生效，凡凡隨即轉往廚房開始希望從媽媽那兒能得到些慰藉。

感恩節夜晚的琴聲

家裡擺了個鄰居搬走時留下來的電子琴，可以說是伴著凡凡長大。凡凡從小就開始摸開始玩，這麼久了總算也養出了點小小心得，興緻來時可以自己亂彈上一段；用短短的小手指頭一個鍵一個鍵地按。

今天是感恩節，一如往例地前往 host family 家中一起享用火雞大餐。吃完回到家後洗完澡，凡凡精神好了，興緻也來了,坐在琴前自顧自地玩了起來。

神態還頗像史努比裡那個露西暗戀著的彈鋼琴的小男孩 (忘了他叫做啥名字了)，都是坐在地上彈。


也可以耍點花式。


因為是電子琴，凡凡也知道可以轉換成不同的樂器聲音，不過目前為止還是亂按一通，變成哪個樂器就將就著彈下去。

Finally

Finally I got my manuscript done, days ago. Writing is really a pain, especially for non-native speaker (at least, for me). Now the ball is out of my hands, and I can only keep my fingers crossed.

I will attend the ASCB meeting at DC in early December. I had been there before, for another conference - AACR, as a RA in NHRI, Taiwan. "That AACR" was supposed to be held in Toronto, and was postponed due to the SARS breakout. The email notice arrived only hours before my plane to Toronto. Although I had been DC before, at the bright side, this is my first time to visit DC in winter, and with my family. I need to make a poster for it. Since I have a manuscript done, it should not be difficult to make one.

I will have my second Dissertation Advisory Committee (DAC) on Dec.14. The conclusion of my first DAC is to have my second DAC after this paper, to discuss future directions. Too bad it is 6-month later than the date Andrew Murray expected. Again, I was killed by writing........

Then I shall have my group meeting on Jan. Busy...

翹翹板

天氣雖然冷，不過一樣，該玩的還是要玩。

這次去 Cambridge common，凡凡試了之前沒玩過的翹翹板，雖然腿短了些還搆不著地，不過一樣樂在其中。

反了的太陽眼鏡

凡凡看到 Elmo 戴著他的太陽眼鏡便拔下來想給自己戴上；戴是戴上去了，不過是反的，看起來真是一整個說不出的怪。

增濕機

增濕機是生活在天寒地凍的新英格蘭冬天必備的一樣東西，這陣子在打折，買一送一，朋友買了，多了一台就送給我們。

凡凡對那一直噴霧的機器充滿好奇，有點怕又不會太怕地玩著。

少年台灣？

上禮拜心血來潮想聽「春天的花蕊」，Youtube 上找不到，最後因為這歌是阿扁選台北市長時的歌曲，最後加上阿扁兩個字一起搜尋，終於找到了 MP3，被收在一張叫做「阿扁競選歌曲十年精選」的專輯裡。

既然檔案解出來是一整張專輯，就在騎車回家的路上一首一首慢慢聽。到了 BU bridge 騎過 Charles river 的時候剛好聽到「少年台灣」，這是 2000 年陳水扁首次競選總統時的歌曲，整首歌的歌詞現在聽起來格外諷刺，八年了，當時的訴求竟然可以完美地套用在扁身上。

冷天午後

凡凡現在已經習慣每天都要出來玩，雖然溫度不到攝氏五度，還是得帶他出來走走。

今天帶凡凡到學校旁邊的 Cambridge common，裡面有一區專給小孩子玩的地方。凡凡很喜歡去那玩沙，裡面還有這陣子凡凡特著迷的湯馬士小火車玩具，玩著沒多久兩頰就開始紅通通的了。


公園裡還有各種溜滑梯可以玩。
